Hirose Electric RF Test Connector Supports up to 43.5 GHz in the 5G 39 GHz band.

Hirose Electric introduces the HK-LR-SR2-A 2.92 mm RF test connector, supporting up to 43.5 GHz frequency in the 5G 39 GHz band. This product is now available to the public.

The standard 2.92 mm RF test connector, typically supporting up to 40 GHz, now extends to 43.5 GHz.

Test connectors are essential for testing the proper operation of circuit boards and functional components used in various electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, notebook computers, communication modules, and in-vehicle infotainment boards.
In addition, there is increasing demand for high-frequency testing in communications, especially for measuring instruments and base stations, to evaluate the performance of 5G and upcoming 6G technologies.

Hirose Electric has launched the HK-LR-SR2-A 2.92 mm RF test connector, compatible with frequencies up to 43.5 GHz, surpassing the usual 40 GHz limit for 2.92 mm connectors. The connector features a center terminal that makes contact with the circuit board using a screw-in mechanism.
Two additional versions are available: the HK-R-SR2-SA (end-launch type), which mounts horizontally, and the HK-R-SR2-SA (vertical launch type), which mounts vertically to the circuit board. Both versions support frequencies up to 43.5 GHz, catering to various customer requirements.
