Hirose Expands DF40 Board-to-Board Connectors Height Range from 4 mm to 7 mm

Hirose expands the height range of the DF40 series of board-to-board connectors from 4 mm to 7 mm that provides more flexibility for various product designs with added variations.

Hirose Electric is pleased to announce the launch of the DF40TC, a new variation of our best-selling DF40 series, which has been well received since its development in 2006.

The DF40 series of Board-to-Board connectors from Hirose Electric have been widely used in consumer products such as notebook computers, digital cameras, and portable game consoles. Additionally, due to the wide range of core variations, it has been highly praised for its ability to adapt flexibly to various product designs, from medical and industrial equipment to automotive applications, and has been adopted by manufacturers worldwide.

Flexible response to various required specifications with a wide range of options from 1.5 mm to 7.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments

Previously, the DF40 series had a height range from 1.5 mm to 4.0 mm. The DF40TC now extends this range from 4.5 mm to 7.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments. This expansion allows the DF40 series to offer options from 1.5 mm to 7.0 mm in 0.5 mm increments, enabling a more flexible response to specific customer requirements. Compared to our existing products with heights of 4.5 mm or higher, the DF40TC has an improved design with an approximately 67% smaller footprint for mounting boards (compared to the DF17 series 50 cores).
