Hirose Expands Shielded Waterproof Bayonet Connectors

HIROSE ELECTRIC announces the expansion of the LF series with a new variant: a Cat.6A-compatible small shielded waterproof connector featuring bayonet locks.

The fifth feature “High-speed transmission, Ethernet enabled” after compact size, hard wax, water resistance, and noise resistance

As manufacturing sites worldwide adopt ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to evolve into smart factories, the use of Ethernet for device connectivity is on the rise. This trend is leading to a diversification in connector requirements.

Hirose Electric has a wide range of interface connectors compatible with industrial Ethernet. In particular, the LF series, features a bayonet lock mechanism for easy operation, setting it apart from traditional screw-on industrial connectors. Its metal shell provides excellent noise resistance, and with IPX7/X8 waterproofing, it is a preferred choice among various industrial equipment manufacturers, including major companies worldwide, for communications including Cat.5E Ethernet.

In response to the growing demand for waterproof connectors capable of high-speed signal transmission in manufacturing, we have added a new variation to the LF series: Cat.6A-compatible small shielded waterproof connectors with bayonet locks.

This product can be used for a variety of applications that are essential for smart factories, such as robots, machine tools, machine vision cameras, sensors, and other applications that will demand higher-speed transmission in the future.
