ZIF Contacts Selection Guide; WE Webinar

July 22, 2022
A A

This Würth Elektronik webinar provides expert knowledge on ZIF contacts selection guide and design of the interface at RIGID.flex.

Flex and RIGID.flex PCBs are often designed with a ZIF interface (ZIF = Zero Insertion Force) and have a so-called ZIF contact for connecting a module via a detachable plug connection.

There are different possibilities in the design and manufacture of a ZIF contact in PCB technology as an FPC solution (Flexible Printed Circuit). This in turn has an impact on many aspects such as connector selection and tolerances, on delivery array design and on costs. The webinar is aimed at PCB designers, electronics developers and students.

In this webinar you will learn more about

  • The different ZIF connector types
  • The manufacturing processes of the ZIF contact and the tolerances
  • The selection of the ZIF connector for different application conditions
  • The matching ZIF contacts in printed circuit board solution (FPC)
